ジョン・コルトレーン（John Coltrane）とエリック・ドルフィー（Eric Dolphy）。2人の天才が1961年8月にニューヨークのグリニッジ・ヴィレッジにあった伝説的なクラブ「ヴィレッジ・ゲート」のステージで繰り広げたパフォーマンスの模様を収めた未発表ライヴ音源が、最近ニューヨーク公共図書館で発見されました。アルバム『John Coltrane with Eric Dolphy: Evenings at the Village Gate』として海外で7月14日に発売されます。リリース元はImpulse! Records。このアルバムから「Impressions」が聴けます。
